Self confidence vs Arrogance…

Hi guys. I hope you all are having a productive day.

Today I am going to talk about the two different terms :self confidence and arrogance.

Self-confidence is an attitude about our skills and abilities. It shows that we accept and trust ourself and have a sense of control in our life. We know our strengths and weakness very well, and have a positive view of ourself. We set realistic expectations and aims, communicate assertively, and can handle criticism and trouble calmly. It makes us feel that we are the best version of ourselves and we keep on learning something new without any arrogance behavior. We have the humility to learn.

Arrogance is an attitude of superiority expressed in an overbearing ,overconfident manner or in egotistical claims, belief or assumptions. It makes us feel we are the best in the world and no person is important than us. It stops us from learning, thinking that I know it all, I don’t need to understand anything. It is the greatest enemy of self growth. There is no room for improvement.

In these two terms there is a thin line. Self confidence give us a positive thought to be best version of yourself but when a thought changes in our mind that you are best in the world self confidence turns into arrogance. And these arrogance can be disastrous.

So by cultivating the requisite humility to keep our mind and heart open to learning from others we can overcome arrogance. This arrogance behavior can be changed only by openess, be courteous to others, admit your mistakes and be optimistic.
